Spring is in full bloom!  We spent the last few weeks running fast to prepare for Spring Break.  And yes—we are back to Season Hours!  Most days we are open from 10 am to 6 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 8 pm,  and Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm.  Lots of new yarn, new bags, and other wonderful things!  We are also offering many new classes for Spring Break.  We kicked it off with our Ice Dying class on Thursday, but have much more in store for the coming week! We will be offering beginning weaving, weaving book marks, beginning felting, felting soap bar covers, and making pot holders.  These classes are for all ages!  Hop on the website and sign up!  All classes include a kit and you will be able to take it home afterward to continue your making!

Check out our Spring Break Calendar and join us for a fun week!
We are only a week away for Knit for Food!  Please consider joining our team, contributing to the cause, and joining us next Saturday for a marathon of knitting and fun from 10 am to 10 pm!   We will have a breakfast supplied and a pot luck dinner at 6 pm to celebrate our knitting day!

We hope you all will either support us with a donation, or join our team and knit along with us!  Tap the link below to go directly to our team page to either join or donate.  We will be in the store for the entire knit-along on 4/11/26 from 10am—10pm.  We will also be on our store zoom and will be joining the main knit-along zoom from here. We will be able to participate with all the special guests, including Patty Lyons!
You do not have to knit the entire time, so no pressure!  You also do not need to just knit—we are a making store: feel free to work on your project of choice.  If you want to spin or weave, or any other make, that would be great!  Come join us as you can, and support Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, Team No Kid Hungry and Meals on Wheels!
Our goal is to raise $5,000 as a team!  I have done Knit for Food for the past two years, and it is really fun.  If you join us in store from 10 am to 10 pm we will be bringing in OBX Wake and Take for breakfast, joining the national group via zoom, snacks all day, making all day, and closing it off with a pot luck dinner!  We look forward to having you join our fun whether you are on the team, a contributor, or just supporting us! Sign up below to bring your favorite dish.
Peaceful Making Society
We are very excited to have Sidney Evans in the store this month as our Peaceful Making Society Maker-in-Residence. Sidney has graciously displayed many makes this month.
Vanilla Socks by Crazy Sock Lady. West Yorkshire Spinners Sock Yarn is a wool yarn blended with BFL and nylon, making it the perfect choice for durable and strong socks.
Felix Pullover by Amy Christoffers. Harrisville Designs Highland is the yarn that gets better and better each time you wash it.

Daelyn Pullover by Isabell Kraemer. Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino is super strong and works well on its own or held double with Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair for some soft fluffiness!

We love seeing all of your makes and we look forward to adding more makers to our Peaceful Making Society. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Peaceful Making Society, let us know at questions@peacefulmaking.com.  Remember, projects can be any kind of making! As a member of the society you will display your project for 30 days and receive the same amount of yarn or supplies as in your project at 50% off in exchange for your exhibition!  Hope to see many of you join us and display your lovely projects!

FO’s
  • San Luis Pass Capelet - Ana Clerc - Scratch that…I turned it into a poncho! I love it!
An image added to the post.
  • Poppy Pullover - Andrea Mowry - Slipped this one in—didn’t even make the WIP list :).  I cast this one on the minute Andrea released it—and OMG I loved this knit.  Super easy, bobbles are fun, the rib is super fun.  I made my cropped as it is written in the pattern, and I did short sleeves with no decreases and two inches before I started the pattern and rib.  I absolutely love it!  I used the La Bien Aimee Twist Nouveau Pool held with La Bien Aimee Soyeux Pinkfetti.
WIP’s
  • Apple Flower - Clara Eggers -  I am excited to start this unique knit. It is in the 52 Weeks of Sweaters  book.  Super cute color work from the bottom up—very unique!
An image added to the post.
  • The Paris Skirt - me and simone - This skirt is a fantastic mohair stash buster. It is more of a recipe than a pattern with a lot of allowance for adjustments to make it your own. I am using up a lot of the colors from my stripey sweater and it is slowly making progress!  I am going to make this my Making Night project! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-paris-skirt
  • Seattle Beanie - Heidi Hennessy - using my leftovers from the Reagan Sweater.  Easy slouchy beanie.  This is in my bag of traveling and walking knits.  It will be finished someday! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seattle-beanie
  • Jelly Top - Mei Bruns - my surprise knit. It’s been in my queue—and I love it.  Remember the popcorn/bubble tees from the 90’s?  The really little scrunchy tees that stretch when you put them on? This is very similar.  It’s a fun pattern of increases and decreases and in between stripes using a smaller needle to make the bubbles.  Fun construction and lots of choices.  Vest, short sleeve, regular sleeves, or bell sleeves. I am in a short row sleeve cap…. I will let you fill in the words you think I’m saying in my head!   I will have to isolate myself and concentrate for  the end of this make! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/jelly-top
  • Dragonfly Sweater - by Elenor Mortensen - I love this pattern— but—this is in the color selection naughty corner.  I’ve tried three  different color combinations and I don’t like any of them!  It needs a rest and I will try again! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dragonfly-sweater-2
  • Happy Camp Sweater - by Brienne Moody - I have been wanting to do an all over color work—so here I go. I’m going to wait for the next batch of Spin Cycle to arrive to cast this on. I will start this after spring break! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/happy-camp-sweater
  • Dagmar Zipper - Petite Knit - On Spring Break crazy hold!  This knit along has begun with swatching…. Very excited to enjoy this cable sweater and make along with the group! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dagmar-zipper-sweater
Patterns of Interest
Esme Pullover - Svetlana Volkova - After finishing the Poppy I realized how much I really love a circular yoke. Top it off with a simple lace pattern and you have me.  This is a lovely pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/esme-pullover
Vilma Top - Gregoria Fibers - I might have listed this cute little vest before—but I really love it.  I don’t know how it would look on me, but it’s super cute! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vilma-top
Melting Shirt - grey level knitter - My favorite Korean YouTuber knit this one (see it below) and it looks like a ton of work, but impressive! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/melting-shirt
Camisole No.10 - My Favorite Things - Simple little spring/summer sleeveless tank.  Highly recommend this for a first garment. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/camisole-no-10
Love Letter Top - Veronika Lindberg - I wanted to do this one last year.  Veronika Lindberg classic. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/love-letter-top
Knitlet - Simone bergh - If you’re knitting for a slim young teenager—this is your knit.  Cute and quick knit! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/knitlet
Sandok Top - Tuva Sandok - Another spring/summer sleeveless top. If you like a little collar this is the one. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sandok-top
Heartlace Collar & Novell Cuffs Wristlets - ODEYA KnitStudio - I am obsessed with the next two lacy patterns.  A little collar and a wristlet pattern.  So delicate and sweet.  Beautiful knit to add to a non-knit outfit. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heartlace-collar https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/novell-cuffs-wristlets
Jasmine Blouse - Hyeonji Jin - I love the jasmine blouse—sweet and a little more formal but great little sleeveless vest/tank. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/jasmine-blouse-2
Cloudesley - Isabell Kraemer - I don’t know why I missed the Cloudesley—so beautiful and simple. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cloudesley
Sabai Sweater - Susanne Müller - Sabai sweater is like the Sabai tank, but it has sleeves.  This will be an amazing spring/summer sweater! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sabai-sweater
